OnTrack Staffing is currently hiring MIG Welders for a great manufacturing company in Lewisville, TX. Temp to hire positions with benefits from day one! MIg Welders will perform a variety of welding, brazing and cutting techniques using gas and electric welding equipment while observing safety regulations.
Available Shifts (MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS)
- 1st shift 5:00 am-2:30 pm Monday-Friday $21.82hourly
Mig Welder Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receives instructions for job from area supervisor or lead man.
- Fabricates parts by welding various parts as required by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment
- Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded, sets up, assembles and welds parts
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area
- Ability to lift 50 pounds at a reasonable rate in a normal day
- Must meet or exceed production standards
- Ability to work without close supervision
- Must be able to work scheduled shift as well as overtime & weekends as required
Mig Welder Qualifications:
- Ability to pass company entry level welding and tape tests
- Must be able to understand verbal and written orders
- Must be able to weld a bead visually acceptable on roll form beams
- Must be able to count and sort products
- Must be able to read all blue prints and weld symbols
- Must be able to complete inventory tickets
- Must be able to set up welding machines
- Must have manual dexterity skills
- As a welder you will be in a production environment, welding for 10-11 hours per day. Welders will be using hand tools, and other devices to ensure production is being met daily.
- Must have 2 years of MIG welding experience.
- You must have your own welding equipment ie: hood, gloves, steel toed boots, safety glasses, and any other tools you wish to do the job with.
- Must be able to work scheduled shift as well as overtime & weekends as required
Education and/or experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
