Job Title: Warehouseman
Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouseman to join our small distribution facility. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing various parts and materials. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety?minded, and able to thrive in a fast?paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Inventory
- Receive incoming shipments, verify accuracy against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Inspect products for damage or defects; report discrepancies.
- Accurately label and store materials in assigned locations.
- Perform routine inventory counts and assist with cycle counting.
Order Picking & Fulfillment
- Pick orders efficiently based on customer or internal requirements.
- Pack, label, and prepare outgoing shipments.
- Ensure all parts are handled with care to prevent loss or damage.
Warehouse Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (training provided if needed).
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
General Support
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Assist with special projects, reorganizations, and process improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
- Basic computer skills for inventory and shipping systems.
- Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
