Shipping & Receiving Associate
Pay: $15.00 per Hour
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team. This position plays a key role in ensuring products are received, stored, and shipped accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and takes pride in maintaining organized inventory and timely shipments.
Job Responsibilities
- Receive inbound shipments and verify items against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues as needed.
- Enter shipment information into inventory or warehouse management systems.
- Pick, pack, palletize, and prepare outbound orders for shipment.
- Complete shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, labels, and manifests.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and stock organization.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Process returned items, document damages, and restock inventory when appropriate.
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and in compliance with company policies.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, delivery drivers, and internal departments to resolve shipping and inventory issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, or inventory experience preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of shipping and receiving processes and documentation.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the workday.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
