OnTrack Staffing has partnered with our client in on their search for a Purchaser/ Change Order Specialist
Scope of Responsibilities:
- Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for plumbing systems.
- Conduct take-offs and calculate quantities of materials, fixtures, piping, and equipment.
- Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for each project.
- Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with project managers, builders, and architects during the bidding process.
- Track changes in design or scope and adjust estimates accordingly.
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, and pricing for future reference.
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and value engineering when required
Skills Needed:
- Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar type role within the plumbing or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and installation methods preferred but not necessary
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a mastery of Excel
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints.
- Excellent math, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
Educational & Work Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in trades.
