Manufacturing Supervisor

Location: Lewisville, TX
Pay: $ 25-$27 hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 5am-Finish (up to 12-hour shifts) 

Scope of Responsibilities:

•    Supervise, coach, and motivate wire department employees to ensure productivity, quality, and safety standards are met.
•    Lead by example while enforcing company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines consistently.
•    Coordinate staffing, work schedules, priorities, and resource allocation to meet departmental and shift goals.
•    Participate in hiring decisions, performance evaluations, training plans, and disciplinary actions in coordination with Human Resources.
•    Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Technical & Operational Responsibilities
•    Oversee the setup, programming, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC wire forming, bending, and related machinery.
•    Establish and adjust machine controls including speed, feed, depth, angles, and tool paths to ensure conformance with specifications.
•    Validate CNC programs, tooling, and processes; make parameter adjustments as needed for efficiency and quality.
•    Ensure proper installation, calibration, testing, and maintenance of machine tooling and equipment.
•    Monitor machine operation for malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions and take corrective action.
•    Inspect raw materials, in-process work, and finished components to verify compliance with drawings and specifications using gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
Training & Development
•    Train, mentor, and cross-train operators and technicians on equipment operation, safety procedures, quality standards, and best practices.
•    Develop technical competencies within the team, including CNC operation, blueprint reading, measurement, and problem-solving skills.
•    Support onboarding and continuous skill development for both new and existing employees.
Quality, Safety & Continuous Improvement
•    Lead efficient daily operations with a strong focus on Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Safety (QDCS).
•    Identify production bottlenecks, quality issues, safety risks, and inefficiencies; drive corrective actions and improvements.
•    Partner with Production Engineering and support teams to improve processes, layouts, material flow, and equipment performance.
•    Facilitate and support LEAN, continuous improvement, and process optimization initiatives.
•    Ensure accurate reporting of production, quality, safety, efficiency, and performance metrics.
Administrative & System Responsibilities
•    Review and manage work orders, drawings, and production documentation.
•    Utilize ERP systems, drawing/model viewers, Microsoft Office, and machine control software effectively.
•    Maintain time and attendance records and assist with departmental reporting requirements.
•    Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Skills Needed:

  • Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office and drawing/model viewer (eDrawing)
  • Minimum of 2 years of production/manufacturing experience (sheet metal or CNC preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing.
  • Prior hands-on experience with CNC programming, machine setup, and sheet metal operations strongly preferred.

Educational & Work Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of production/manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • CNC programming, machine setup, or advanced wire manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
