Wood Shop Associate
Location: Gainesville, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Overtime: Must be available as needed
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Employment Type: Temp with possibility of permanent hire
Job Description
We are seeking dependable workers to join our team. This role involves general carpentry, material handling, and use of hand and power tools in a fast?paced shop environment.
Carpentry experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Job Duties
- Assist in the production and assembly of wood components.
- Measure, cut, and prepare wood materials according to instructions
- Use tape measures, saws, hand tools, and power tools safely and accurately
- Perform basic carpentry and shop tasks as assigned
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety guidelines and shop procedures
- Meet production goals and quality standards
Requirements
- Carpentry or wood shop experience preferred but not required
- Mechanically inclined with experience using:
- Tape measure
- Saws
- Hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a non?climate?controlled environment
- Must be reliable with dependable transportation
- Available to work overtime when required
- Able to stand, bend, and perform physical labor throughout shift
