OnTrack Staffing is currently hiring MIG Welders for a great manufacturing company in Lewisville, TX. Temp to hire positions with benefits from day one! MIg Welders will perform a variety of welding, brazing and cutting techniques using gas and electric welding equipment while observing safety regulations.

Available Shifts (MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS)

  • 2nd shift 2:30 pm-1am Monday-Friday $22.42 hourly

Mig Welder Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receives instructions for job from area supervisor or lead man.
  • Fabricates parts by welding various parts as required by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment
  • Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded, sets up, assembles and welds parts
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds at a reasonable rate in a normal day
  • Must meet or exceed production standards
  • Ability to work without close supervision
  • Must be able to work scheduled shift as well as overtime & weekends as required

Mig Welder Qualifications:

  • Ability to pass company entry level welding and tape tests
  • Must be able to understand verbal and written orders
  • Must be able to weld a bead visually acceptable on roll form beams
  • Must be able to count and sort products
  • Must be able to read all blue prints and weld symbols
  • Must be able to complete inventory tickets
  • Must be able to set up welding machines
  • Must have manual dexterity skills
  • As a welder you will be in a production environment, welding for 10-11 hours per day. Welders will be using hand tools, and other devices to ensure production is being met daily.
  • Must have 2 years of MIG welding experience.
  • You must have your own welding equipment ie: hood, gloves, steel toed boots, safety glasses, and any other tools you wish to do the job with.
  • Must be able to work scheduled shift as well as overtime & weekends as required

Education and/or experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
