Description: Position: General Labor   Job Description Summary:   Responsible for general shipping and receiving tasks such as unloading, loading, unpacking, checking, and storing merchandise or materials. This opportunity is focused on developing your skills for long-term success with our client. Must have at least 6 months experience in a warehouse environment.    Manually loading and unloading freight efficiently and safely Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures.  Must take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazards. Follow all PPE policies, wearing safety vests, etc. as required. Performing a variety of tasks within a distribution shipping environment.  Sorting, recovering, packing, marking, and labeling materials. Minimize waste of product. Meet/achieve production goals set forth by management. Ability to keep busy during short intermittent down time settings: i.e. cleaning floors or rework. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.     Candidate Requirements:   High school diploma, GED, or applicable work experience Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to do basic math skills Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate in English Ability to stand, bend throughout work shift Strong attention to detail and accuracy in your work Excellent attendance at current or previous employment   Shift: 1st Shift Start: 7:00 am   End: 3:30 pm *PEAK: All shifts will add 2 hours work – creating a 12-hour shift during peak seasons, as needed- ADD 2 hours to end of regularly schedule shift.  Peak hours of operation March – April – Tax Back to School  Holidays
