Description:  OnTrack Staffing JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION: Groundskeeper EEOC-1: Laborers & Helpers – 8 DEPARTMENT: Maintenance FLSA STATUS: Nonexempt REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager JOB STATUS: Full – Time WORK SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday 6:00am – 3:30pm – Possibility of Overtime and Weekend Work POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining company grounds and/or property. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Cut grass around main buildings and roadways. Weed eat as necessary around building, fence lines, parking lots, etc. using power weed eater or manually. Fertilize according to an established schedule. Trim shrubs. Pick up all trash and debris from around company buildings or on company premises. Apply pesticides and herbicides to parking lots and fence lines. Fill and grade holes in non-paved parking lots. Maintain a clean and hazard free work environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety. Perform other duties as assigned. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Must be DRUG FREE. High school diploma or GED. Must have a valid driver's license. Must have and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge). Must provide a 3-year Department of Motor Vehicle Report (DMV) with no more than 2 moving violations, no DUI convictions and no Reckless Driving. Ability to operate a riding lawn mower and other lawn care equipment, powered or hand held. Ability to read and write. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and communicate clear and concise instructions to employees. Ability to drive both automatic and straight shift vehicles. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Ability to function within working conditions and physical requirements as described above. Ability to work assigned hours. Including overtime and weekends as needed. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand, bend and kneel for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 100 pounds and use hand tools. WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposed to all outdoor elements including heat, cold, rain, insects and other conditions which may exist from time to time.
