The SQM IQC Inspector is responsible for reviewing and inspecting incoming raw materials to ensure compliance with quality standards. This role involves documenting inspection results, highlighting anomalies, and supporting corrective actions. The inspector works closely with SQM Group Leaders and other departments to maintain accurate records and ensure proper material disposition.
Key Responsibilities
•Review, check, and inspect incoming raw materials for compliance with specifications.
•Input inspection results into the WiSQMS database to release GRs.
•Notify and highlight any non-conformities or problems found during material review to the SQM Group Leader.
•Move, relocate, and transport materials in and out of MRB areas (Loc W106/W10V).
•Provide support for sorting and reworking materials as required.
•Release materials for return, DN, scrap, or relabeling as needed.
Qualifications
•High school level diploma or equivalent (required).
•Minimum 1 year of experience in SQE, supplier development, or internal auditing.
•Ability to interpret drawings and specifications; knowledge of SMT/FA manufacturing processes.
•Detail-oriented and able to follow visual and written instructions accurately.
•Basic computer skills for data entry and inspection result recording.
•Willingness to learn and adapt to quality and safety standards.
•Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability in daily operations.
•Open to continuous training and improvement within a manufacturing or inspection environment.
Working Conditions
Combination of office and production floor environment.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods during inspections.
• Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs.
