Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pothole Repair Technician to join our team. This role is critical to maintaining safe and smooth roadways for our community. The ideal candidate will have experience in asphalt repair, operate specialized equipment, and work efficiently in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect streets and identify potholes or damaged pavement areas.
- Prepare work sites by cleaning and removing debris from potholes.
- Mix, apply, and compact asphalt or other patching materials to repair potholes.
- Operate and maintain repair equipment such as rollers, tampers, and trucks.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
- Follow traffic control procedures and maintain a safe work zone.
- Complete daily work logs and report progress to supervisors.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
- Experience in road maintenance or construction is a plus.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and hand tools safely.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
