The Quality Management System (QMS) Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions. The QMS Engineer manages ISO certifications, internal audits, and customer audits while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily operations for ISO 9000 and QC080000 compliance.
• Coordinate ISO external activities and work with third-party organizations for certification.
• Lead UL safety audits and oversee daily compliance operations.
• Review ECR/ECO change requests and verify actions for closure.
• Conduct weekly ECO meetings to track and update status.
• Provide feedback and close NV DA status issues.
• Implement internal audits (IA) and Management Review Meetings (MRM), ensuring findings are addressed.
• Support NV SCAR and 8D audits.
• Manage NV QPA format and customer audit activities.
• Implement line qualification processes and manage customer on-site audits.
• Conduct ESD internal audits and manage third-party certification processes.
Qualifications
• Engineering Experience: Minimum 5 years in product engineering, including design, development, testing, and manufacturing processes.
• Leadership Experience: At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Technical Skills:
o Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and related standards.
o Proficiency in Minitab and quality management tools.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify complex technical issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Data Analysis: Skilled in analyzing data to identify trends and make informed decisions.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with quality management software and related tools.
Regulatory Compliance: Experience conducting internal audits in accordance with ISO 9001 or similar QMS standards.
• Communication & Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and lead quality initiatives.
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a multicultural, cross-functional environment with English as the primary language.
• Attention to detail, initiative, and commitment to continuous improvement and compliance excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
• CQE or ISO Lead Auditor certification.
• Experience with UL safety standards and ESD compliance.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles.
Working Conditions
