The MB Solder Tech is responsible for all solder work assignments ranging from solder rework, connector repair, SMT, thru-hole components and BGA support based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
•Perform solder work based on rework/repair requirement.
•Follow rework and repair instructions and operational procedures.
•Check for CID and make sure the MB is good before solder work is performed.
•Check for excessive flux residue and solder and clean using alcohol and cloth.
•Check for cold and short solder pads.
•Check for Solder Bridge.
•Check for shifted pads and pins.
•Check for correct polarity.
•Brush properly to remove the solder splash and balls.
•Make sure the MB is clean before moving to the next station.
•Organize good parts and non-conforming parts.
•Meet and exceed KPI defined to meet the business and operational requirement.
•Turn in KPI report on time, end of the working day.
•Check and keep record for ESD Audit daily.
•Follow 5S standard.
•Utilize the company’s time to be efficient and productive. This is including the punctuality from break and personal matter.
•When required, work assignment can change based on project needs like inspection, testing, data input.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
•High school level diploma or equivalent (required).
•Tech L1-Solder: solder 40 components/day.
•Tech L2-Solder: solder 50 components/day.
•Tech L3-Solder: solder 60 components/day.
•IPC certified preferred.
•Knowledge using MS Excel to read instructions.
Over 6 Months experience.
Skills
•Must be able to handle multiple tasks concurrently, meet deadlines and work independently.
• Attention to details, meticulous work.
• Customer Service focus and a team player.
• Reading Comprehension – Demonstrated ability to read, and follow written instructions and ideas.
