The Incoming Quality Control (IQC) Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all incoming raw materials meet established quality objectives before entering production. This role manages supplier quality performance, conducts audits of local suppliers, and highlights any anomalies in material quality. The IQC Engineer implements containment and corrective actions with suppliers to prevent impacts on production lines, while maintaining accurate inspection records and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Collaboration with suppliers, internal quality teams, and production departments is essential to uphold compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for the preparation and update of IQC history file and inspection instruction, sampling maintenance in WiSQMS database.
• Manage the inspection of incoming material.
• Approve in WiSQMS IQC inspection result.
• Manage IQC KPI.
• Manage and review material disposition.
• IQC inspector training.
• Request FA related to material issue.
• Evaluate and confirm material issues in raw materials.
• Generating the Non-Conformance report to escalate issues to vendors and request corrective and preventive actions to improve vendor quality.
• Has the responsibility to ensure non-conforming material is kept in MRB area until final disposition of material is given.
• Coordinate activities to segregate non-conformity material and provide disposition.
• Create in WiSQMS purge notice.
• Monitor material engineering changes implementation in IQC.
• Creates and approves all SIP and file in WiSQMS system-SIP.
• Material issue SCAR Follow up.
• Should work with SQM engineers to cover their function between IQC & SQM job.
Engineering Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in SQE, supplier development and internal auditor.
• Supervisory or Team Leadership Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role, overseeing a team of engineers or technicians.
• Technical Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of relevant technical areas such as electrical, industrial or mechanical engineering, interpretation of drawings and specifications, and manufacturing processes (SMT / FA).
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to identify complex technical issues, analyze root causes, and develop effective solutions.
• Project Management Experience: Proven experience in managing projects including allocating resources, KPI tracking.
• Be proficient in using Core Tools (SPC, PPAP, FMEA) and quality systems such as ISO 9001 / IATF 16949.
• Be capable of interpreting technical drawings (GD&T) and applying visual inspection criteria (IPC-A-610).
• Exhibit attention to detail, data-driven decision-making, and teamwork in a multicultural work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification.
• Experience with WiSQMS or similar quality management systems.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles.
