Job Overview
We are seeking a General Laborer to join our production team in a fast-paced steel fabrication shop. This role is ideal for individuals who are dependable, hardworking, and interested in working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
The General Laborer will assist with basic production, material handling, and shop support tasks while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with general shop and production tasks
- Load, unload, and move materials and finished products
- Support fabrication processes including prep work, grinding, and clean-up
- Operate basic hand and power tools
- Help organize materials and maintain workflow
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
- Assist machine operators, welders, and supervisors as needed
- Perform repetitive tasks with consistency and attention to detail
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in general labor, construction, or manufacturing (preferred but not required)
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Comfortable using basic tools and equipment
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs
- Comfortable working around noise, dust, and machinery
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks
Work Environment
- Shop-based role (indoor industrial setting)
- Work with materials such as steel, aluminum, and other metals
- Exposure to varying temperatures depending on season
