General Laborer (Production)

Job Overview

We are seeking a General Laborer to join our production team in a fast-paced steel fabrication shop. This role is ideal for individuals who are dependable, hardworking, and interested in working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

The General Laborer will assist with basic production, material handling, and shop support tasks while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.


What You’ll Do

  • Assist with general shop and production tasks
  • Load, unload, and move materials and finished products
  • Support fabrication processes including prep work, grinding, and clean-up
  • Operate basic hand and power tools
  • Help organize materials and maintain workflow
  • Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
  • Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
  • Assist machine operators, welders, and supervisors as needed
  • Perform repetitive tasks with consistency and attention to detail

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in general labor, construction, or manufacturing (preferred but not required)
  • Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Comfortable using basic tools and equipment
  • Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs
  • Comfortable working around noise, dust, and machinery
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks

Work Environment

  • Shop-based role (indoor industrial setting)
  • Work with materials such as steel, aluminum, and other metals
  • Exposure to varying temperatures depending on season
