OnTrack Staffing has partnered with our client in on their search for a CAD/Process Engineer.
Location: Denton, TX
Salary: $60,000.00 yearly
Schedule: Monday-Friday 630am-4pm
Summary:
The CAD/ process engineer is responsible for developing efficient production processes, maintaining production documents, analyzing process efficiency, design frameworks for a project and providing engineering support to operators.
Responsibilities:
- Design frameworks for a project.
- Create detailed design documentation.
- Estimate time and costs required to complete project.
- Code and test software.
- Define, create and maintain development methodologies, procedures and standards.
- Create drawings in both 2 and 3-dimensional form.
- Design floor plans, elevations, and realistic renderings with the help of software.
- Aid in the selection of materials for the products.
- Develop and maintain work instructions, process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, and control plans.
- Analyze and maximize efficiency of production processes.
- Liaise with customer to ensure correct bill of materials are being used.
- Interpret part and assembly drawings.
- Develop visual aids to assist operators.
- Analyze part usages to determine where parts should be located.
- Work with maintenance department to design fixtures and jigs.
- Present cost-effective solutions to address opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor the addition of new parts to determine the impact on cycle times, floor space, and efficiency.
- Periodically conduct internal audits based on an internal audit schedule.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and 1 or more years related experience and/or training preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working in a regulated environment such as ISO 9001:2015 or IATF 16949:2016.
- Experience using statistical analysis to monitor and improve performance required.
- Experience working in teams conducting continual improvement or six sigma projects preferred.
