Job Title: Warehouse Material Handler

We are seeking a Warehouse Specialist for our client in Oklahoma City!
Job Description: The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing raw materials, components, and finished goods within our manufacturing facility. This role ensures the smooth flow of production by accurately pulling and delivering materials to workstations while maintaining detailed inventory records and operating material handling equipment like forklifts when necessary. The Warehouse Material Handler plays a vital role in the supply chain by coordinating with production teams to meet production schedules and maintain quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving and Inventory Management:
- Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against purchase orders, checking quantities and quality of materials.
- Properly label and store materials in designated storage areas according to inventory management systems.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels and identify discrepancies.
- Update inventory records in the computer system.
Material Distribution:
- Pull materials from inventory based on production orders, ensuring correct quantities and specifications.
- Deliver materials to production workstations as needed, following established delivery schedules.
- Stage finished goods for shipment, including proper packaging and labeling.
Material Handling Equipment Operation:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment to move materials within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any maintenance issues.
Quality Control:
- Inspect materials for damage or defects upon receipt and report any quality concerns.
- Follow established quality control procedures to ensure product integrity.
Safety and Housekeeping:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while handling materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain one
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems
- Good communication and teamwork skills
