The Quality Inspector is responsible for supporting the Quality Engineerts in their pursuit to maintain the Quality system. They are also responsible for supporting production by ensuring that they are producing product that conforms to the customer specific requirements. Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production and finished products, recording the quality results. The roles and responsibilities listed are not meant to be all inclusive. The needs of the company may require individuals to perform other functions.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspection based on inspection standards
- If required, conduct 100% inspection for issue area
- Perform periodic checks on manufactured components
- complete daily status/open issues reports
- communicate major non-conformances to proper personnel for immediate correction
- assist other inspectors as necessary
- support measurement tech, failure analyst tech and quality engineers on special projects
- monitor assigned manufacturing areas
Qualifications
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Must have at least 6 month of Quality control inspection experience
- Required basic computer skills (Microsoft word and excel
- competent in use of various measurement tools (calipers, height gages, micrometer etc)
- must be able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
