Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour
Shift Schedule: Friday – Sunday
Shift Hours: 4:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Position Summary:
OnTrack Staffing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. The Forklift Operator will perform various duties in a fast-paced warehouse environment, including receiving and putting away inbound shipments, shipping, and picking products to support plant operations. The role also involves maintaining inventory accuracy, monitoring cooler/freezer temperatures, and keeping the warehouse organized. Experience with stand-up forklifts and RF scan guns is required.
Position Responsibilities:
- Efficiently sort, handle, load, and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and by hand as needed.
- Operate stand-up forklifts.
- Utilize mobile handheld devices for tracking shipments.
- Safely climb in and out of trailers.
- Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently).
- Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g., pallets, straps, rope).
- Safely walk and stand for extended periods on a loading dock that may be below freezing and slippery.
- Reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel as necessary to perform job duties.
- Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
- Adhere to company safety policies.
- Maintain frequent contact with co-workers and supervisors in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Work safely in cold weather conditions.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2-4 years of prior forklift experience.
- Experience with stand-up forklifts.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Good basic math skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to stand, communicate, and listen.
- Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Visual perception to perform job duties, including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot).
