JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for the setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Surface Mount Technology (SMT} and Dual In-line Package {DIP} equipment used in the electronics manufacturing process. This role ensures optimal machine performance to support high-quality and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on SMT and DIP machines (e.g., pick-and-place, reflow ovens, wave soldering).
- Online production support responsible to review and monitor the performance of SMT/DIP equipment and processes.
- Take immediate corrective actions for both process- and equipment-related issues, and escalate any unresolved issues lasting more than 30 minutes to the immediate supervisor.
- Set up and calibrate equipment according to production specifications and engineering instructions.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues in production equipment.
- Collaborate with process engineers and production teams to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, machine performance, and spare parts inventory.
- Support new equipment installation and qualification.
- Update and submit routine reports related to daily operations such as line FPY, Productivity and pick and place Attrition rates.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and ESD protocols.
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or associate degree in electronics, mechatronics, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in SMT/DIP equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with equipment brands such as Panasonic NPMs, Ersa, REHM Reflow Ovens, Sunsda Conveyor
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with PLC programming is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of /PC standards and quality control procedures.
