Description: Looking for Welders.... experience is a plus, willing to train entry level welders as well...... Performs welds on structural and miscellaneous steel and other items as assigned. Performs grinding operations as required. Maintains proper housekeeping of the work area assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Knowledge of welding techniques and use of related equipment (welder, wire feeder and grinder) tools and material. Must be thoroughly familiar with the safety precautions of the trade. Knowledge of math, particularly the addition and subtraction of fractions. Skill in following oral instructions. Ability to stay mentally alert at all times. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Prior welding experience. Graduation from an accredited welding school preferred. Successful completion of a High School math course. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must be able to perform basic math functions, particularly the addition and subtraction of fractions. REASONING ABILITY: Must be able to think logically in the performance of routine functions. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
